Colorado School of Mines was founded in 1874. It enrolls about 4,500. Student-to-faculty ratio is 14:1. An average undergraduate class size is 33 students. More than 90 percent of Mines’ full-time faculty hold a doctoral degree.

The INTERLINK language program was designed to offer: Intensive English language training for university-bound students as well as those who need to improve their English for personal and professional reasons in a student-centered, nurturing environment; cultural orientation; academic preparation.

The INTERLINK curriculum emphasizes independent language learning, academic preparation, and cultural awareness; the language component of the curriculum focuses on listening, speaking, reading, writing, English for Business, English for Science and Technology (EST), English for Law, and skills necessary for successful academic and social adjustment in the U.S.

The programs consists of 23 instructional hours a week. Core Courses - 20 hours per week, Modules - 3 hours per week.
