International Education Program. English as a second language (ESL) courses are designed to help foreign speakers from a variety of countries learn English by emphasizing four basic skill areas: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Some of the program courses are: Basic English as a Second Language; English as a Second Language: Grammar; English as a Second Language: Listening and Speaking; Writing with Oral Practice; Basic Vocabulary for ESL; Pronunciation Improvement for ESL Speakers; Introduction to the Culture of the United States; Advanced Pronunciation.
