Georgia State University was founded in 191. GSU has a total enrollment of about 30,000 students from all over the U.S. and more than 145 countries. The university offers 52 undergraduate and graduate degree programs with more than 250 majors. There are five colleges in the university: Arts and Sciences, Business, Education, Health and Human Sciences, and Law - plus the School of Policy Studies.

Intensive English Program. The IEP at Georgia State University is also known as an English for Academic Purposes (EAP) program. This means that course content, activities and assignments are designed to prepare students as quickly as possible for the language demands of university work. If they’re placed at the intermediate to advanced levels, they'll read, discuss and write about topics from academic courses. At the beginning and low-intermediate levels, students’ll focus on primary language skills. Students are expected to attend class, do homework and take tests, just as they will be expected to do in a university.

Spring/Fall semester: 18 hours of instruction per week, 15 weeks $3,006
Summer session: 25 hours of instruction per week 10 weeks $3,006
