Gordon College was founded in ounded in 1852. GC enrolls more than more than 3,800. It offers its students more than 60 programs of study. Student-to-teacher ratio is less than 25:1.

The English as a Second Language Program at Gordon College provides instruction in, vocabulary, grammar, reading and composition for non-native speakers of English from the intermediate to the advanced level. The program is designed to prepare students in the language skills necessary for successful academic work.

To be admitted to the ESL program at Gordon College, students must first apply and be admitted to Gordon College. At Gordon, students are able to take some academic courses along with their ESL courses.
