Wichita State was founded in 1895. Now, it enrolls 14,298. It is famous for providing the three largest annual undergraduate scholarships in Kansas ($44,000-48,000).

Intensive English program provides six levels (beginning through advanced levels) of studying. Each level takes approximately 8 weeks to complete. 25 hours of instruction are offered per week (5 hours each weekday). Students may study as little as 8 weeks or longer than one year - whatever is needed to achieve their needed level of proficiency. Classes include: Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening, Structure (English grammar). Elective classes are available in TOEFL Preparation and Pronunciation. Weekly conversation practice with conversation partners is provided, as well as essay and research paper preparation.
