The American Language Program (ALP) is designed to assist international students in gaining sufficient English language skills to participate fully in all academic programs. Students who do not qualify for the regular degree program because their TOEFL or IELTS score did not meet requirements can participate in ALP to raise English proficiency. Upon successfully completing a term of ALP, students may be able to move into the regular programs. The program includes classroom instruction with a qualified instructor who has studied other languages and have experienced the discipline involved in learning a new language. Students who are qualified for the regular degree program may enroll in a few ALP courses simultaneously with other classes to gain better comprehension and speaking skills.
