The University was founded in 1854, it is Minnesota's first university, and among the first co-educational institutions in the nation. The total enrollment to the school is 4,900. Located in Saint Paul, Minnesota, Hamline is affiliated with the United Methodist Church and offers courses and degree programs in Saint Paul and Minneapolis.

Participants:

TOEFL Preparation Course. This four week course is specifically laid out to prepare students for the TOEFL. 

Summer Class for Credit. This four week course offers students the opportunity to take a class at Hamline University to earn credit for their degree in home country. Students will be able to choose from a list of courses in a variety of disciplines. Additionally, students will take part in an ESL workshop on weekday afternoons.

English for Professionals. This four week course is specifically laid out to further students' understanding of the US-business world. This course will enhance your ability to use proper English business terms and to converse in business settings. During the week, participants will meet in small groups with no more than 10 participants per group. Four weekday afternoons each week are spent in a seminar: “Contemporary Business in the US”. This seminar will be led by a Hamline University faculty member and includes visits to well-known and established companies in the Twin Cities area and/or lectures.

Tuition
The 4 week course costs $4,400. (includes full meal plan at the cafeteria of Hamline University, room at one of the University dorms – to be shared with 2 – 3 other international students; admission to parks, rides and museums; costs for transportation).
