Southern New Hampshire University was founded in 1932. Today the university has five schools – the School of Business, the School of Community Economic Development, the School of Education, the School of Liberal Arts and the School of Professional and Continuing Education. They enroll 1,900 undergraduate students from more than 23 states and more than 35 different countries, 1,800 graduate and 2,700 continuing education students. Average class size is 20.


Participants:

The Intensive English Program equips international students with the language and culture skills that will enable them to successfully enter and complete academic programs at Southern New Hampshire University or other universities and colleges in the United States.

- Academic Studies: Study Skills; Library and research skills; Efficient study habits; Time management training; Computer word processing; Power Point.
- Culture Studies: Orientation to life in the U.S.; American values and beliefs; Practice in cross-cultural communication; Communication training in survival skills. 
- English from Theme: Advertising; Banking; Business Management; Criminal Justice; Environment; Health; Marketing; Travel/Tourism.
-  Field Trips: Visits to local agencies or businesses; Community leaders as guest speakers; Walking tours of city /campus; Trips to local points of interest.
- Grammar: Verbs; Idioms; Nouns; and more
- Reading: Real-life reading skills; Newspapers; Magazines; Textbooks. 
- Speaking: Student presentation; Conversation skills; Speech and pronunciation; Interviewing; Role-playing; Panel discussions.
- Writing: Business and personal letters; Memos; Essays; Research papers.
