FDU was founded in 1942. The University offers over 100 undergraduate and graduate degree programs, including doctoral programs in clinical psychology and in school psychology, and an AACSB-accredited business school. The ELS Intensive English Program helps students to significantly improve their English skills, achieve greater fluency, and fully prepare for university study in the USA. More than 550 universities, colleges and career schools accept completion of an advanced ELS level as meeting the English language requirement for admission. The Intensive English Program curriculum includes 30 lessons per week of classroom instruction and practice in all key language skills: speaking, listening, pronunciation, vocabulary, reading and writing. Students practice conversation skills and other speaking skills using practical, real-world English, learn to write with accuracy and effectiveness, develop strategic listening skills and improve their use of grammar. $1,575

The ELS Semi-Intensive Program is ideal for students who want to learn English while also having time to visit local cities and attractions. Students take classes in the morning and have afternoons free to explore and use their improving English. Semi-Intensive English includes 20 lessons per week of classroom instruction and practice in all key language skills: speaking, listening, pronunciation, vocabulary, reading and writing. $1,210

ELS has developed a 12-week comprehensive Prep Program for the TOEFL iBT that gives students the best preparation possible and the confidence they need to succeed. The new Internet based TOEFL iBT requires students to answer questions related to speaking, listening, reading and writing – and measures not just what they know, but how well they can express themselves and apply their knowledge. By taking the Prep Program, students will practice integrated reading and listening skills, improve writing and speaking, as well as learn test-taking strategies. $1,770

The ELS GMAT Test prep course is a 6 - hour per day program that combines advanced language enrichment with one hour of GMAT language self-study and two hours of GMAT Test Prep strategies. Four or eight (recommended)week options are available. The maximum class size is 15.

American Explorer. Those who are planning a short vacation in the USA and would like to include some English classes, the American Explorer Program is a good option. Study English in the morning and enjoy the afternoons practicing their English while sightseeing and visiting local attractions. The Program provides: 12 levels of instruction from Beginning to Masters; 15 x 50-minute lessons each week; classes Monday to Friday, with afternoons free; 4-week sessions; 15-student maximum in listening/speaking and reading/writing classes; 20 in Skills Enhancement classes; available year-round at all Centers (except Fast Track locations); 26 start dates annually.
