Academic Year Program. The English Language Institute offers 8 levels of proficiency from novice to advanced.

Summer Short Term Program. Enjoy a semi-intensive course of study, spending no more than three hours a day in class. Emphasizing integrated language skills and spoken communication, qualified instructors let students work at their own pace. Outside classroom activities let them explore Salt Lake City and neighboring cities such as Park City - site of the 2002 Olympic Winter Games. Here's your chance to meet and interact with the people in the community as well as experience the history and culture of the American West. Classes are held Monday through Friday on the University of Utah campus. Class time will be 9:00 AM to 12:00 noon. While studying, students can use a lot of university facilities with their university ID card. The cost of the program is $1,300 including tuition, activities, local transportation pass and two-day excursion. There will be a minimum of two activities each week, as well as a trip during the program. Dormitory or homestay accommodations available but not included.
