Rio Salado College was founded in 1978. It is the largest of the 10 Maricopa Community Colleges, and is one of the fastest-growing colleges in the nation. Rio Salado, is known as focuses on the following educational opportunities to the communities it serves: online learning, corporate and government partnerships, dual enrollment, adult basic education, incarcerated re-entry, military and veteran opportunities, university transfer and much more. The school offers more than 40 certificates & degrees, above 500 online classe and if fully accredited.

English as a Second Language (ESL) Programs
Rio Salado College offers online ESL classes. However, international student who are interested in an intensive English program would be referred to one of its sister colleges. The program helps to improve the current English communication, reading, vocabulary and writing skills. ESL Online classes begin every week and in-person classes (online coursework supplemented  with in-person components) start periodically throughout the year. The schedule is really flexible. Free tutoring, advisement and career counseling are available.
