Boise State University enrolls 18,600 students, including approximately 300 international students on campus representing more than 60 countries worldwide. Boise State is a metropolitan university reflecting the character of Idaho's capital city - a center of business, government, technology, and culture - and serving the needs of its students through undergraduate and graduate programs, research and public service. Eight academic colleges, offering more than 180 major fields of study, 35 master's and two doctoral programs, with graduate enrollment of 1,600 students.
Boise State University offers an Intensive English Program. The program is offered in two eight-week sessions during each spring and fall term, and two four-week sessions during summer. Students are placed in courses at their proficiency level, where they learn in a safe and confidence-building environment. IEP features include: small class size (15 or fewer students), professionally trained instructors with experience living and teaching abroad, 20-23 class hours each week, focusing on academic reading, writing, speaking & listening skills, practical language use skills in an American cultural context, TOEFL preparation, using both text-based and software materials and much more.
