Kansas State University was founded in 1858. Now it consists several colleges as: Arts and sciences; engineering; business administration; education; agriculture; human ecology; architecture, planning, and design; technology and aviation (K-State at Salina); and veterinary medicine. The Graduate School offers 65 masters degrees, 45 doctoral degrees and 22 graduate certificates in multiple disciplines across campus. More than 23,000 from all 50 states and more than 90 countries. The school offers 250+ undergraduate majors and options.


The English Language Program is an intensive language program associated with Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kansas. The program is a member of UCIEP (the Consortium of University and College Intensive English Programs) and AAIEP (American Association of Intensive English Language Programs.) UCIEP and AAIEP accept only programs that meet high standards.

The English Language Program's (ELP) primary purpose is to provide English instruction to students who are qualified to begin university work but do not meet English proficiency standards for the university. The program also offers English instruction to international students who choose to come for language training only or as a study abroad experience. ELP students, both full-time and part-time, cannot pre-enroll in academic classes.
