The University of Mississippi opened its doors to 80 students in 1848. The total enrollment of students now is 17,323. Sixty-nine percent of all students are from Mississippi, and 19 percent of students are minorities. The University of Mississippi libraries house nearly 1.3 million volumes and more than 12,392 current periodicals and serial subscriptions.

The Intensive English Program offers academic English courses from basic to advanced levels with a curriculum designed to prepare you to interact in the English-speaking academic, social, and professional world. As part of the IEP, you will have the opportunity to meet people from all over the world and participate in University organizations and activities. The faculty and staff are committed to helping students achieve their academic goals as well as providing them with an exciting international experience. 

TOEFL Prep. Course helps students to develop their test taking skills by: practicing individual test sections of the TOEFL iBT using the integrated skills test format; learning techniques to build vocabulary; reviewing key grammar points; improving listening comprehension skills; writing and receiving feedback on practice essay; taking a complete practice test of the TOEFL iBT; receiving individual instruction in small classes.
