The University of Nebraska at Kearney was founded in 1905. Now it enrolls nearly 6,600 students, who come from all 93 Nebraska counties, 47 states, and 49 foreign countries. Student/faculty ratio is 16 to 1. UNK offers 170 undergraduate majors, 25 pre-professional programs, and 34 graduate programs.

Participants:

English Language Institute courses designed on an intensive Immersion schedule of 18 class hours per week. The program is centered around the four language skills of reading, writing, listening and speaking. There are four levels of instruction: 100, 200, 300, and 400. Students are tested on the first day of the session to determine appropriate level of study and to allow instructors to individualize the students program of study. In all levels of study, classes are small with approximately 10 students per class.
