The UO enrolls nearly 1,800 students from more than 106 countries. Beyond courses in modern languages, the University of Oklahoma offers hundreds of courses focus on global issues and foreign countries, and library collections and journals aid international research activities in all colleges. Employing nearly 3,000 faculty members,[2] the school offers 152 baccalaureate programs, 160 master's programs, 75 doctorate programs, and 20 majors at the first professional level.

The Center for English as a Second Language (CESL) within University Outreach at the University of Oklahoma offers an intensive English language program for all levels. The program is designed for highly motivated students who wish to acquire a thorough command of English quickly.

Courses are offered six times throughout the year in two consecutive seven-week sessions each spring and fall, and two consecutive six-week sessions each summer.

Intensive English Program offers international students 25 hours of expertly taught language instruction per week. For those who are interested in continuing their academic careers at U.S. universities, specialized TOEFL classes and electives are available.
