The University was established in 1965. Now, it is accredited at the baccalaureate and master's levels by The Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. There are over 60 undergraduate academic majors, ten master’s programs, and one doctoral program in the USI. The total enrollment is 10,126. Average class size: 25.
