The English as a Second Language program, as part of Donnelly College's degree programs, is designed to give special training in the use of the English language to students who are not native speakers of English. The group includes international students aspiring to study in the United States, recent immigrants who need English to enhance their professional life, and American citizens who want to improve their education in English. Courses in ESL are offered at twelve different levels of difficulty in the following skill areas: Reading and Vocabulary; Listening/Speaking and Pronunciation; Composition; Grammar. Credits for English as a Second Language courses do not apply to the degree program. Attendance and home study are required daily.
