Launched in July 1999 with a generous grant from the Pew Charitable Trusts, the Academic Quality Improvement Program infuses the principles and benefits of continuous improvement into the culture of colleges and universities by providing an alternative process through which an already-accredited institution can maintain its accreditation from the Higher Learning Commission.

The Adult Education Center of NorthWest Arkansas Community College is offering English as a Second Language (ESL) classes. ESL Computer Lab with language software for reading enhancement, listening comprehension, grammar, cultural enrichment, and preparation for the TOEFL, citizenship, and GED (High-school equivalency exams). An instructor is available during all open lab hours to help students with their language skills and to instruct students on how to operate the computers and to use software programs
