ILIM promotes intercultural understanding by providing quality language instruction and teacher training. Classes are small and students receive individual attention. Through simulations, class interviews, dialogues prepared from real-life situations, and discussions and games, the language is made real and immediately usable outside the classroom. The school was founded in 1984.

Participants:

Intensive English Program offers practical and academic English in interactive classes. 21 hours of instruction per week. Students are 18 years and older. Average of 8 students per class, maximum is of 12. All students receive individual attention. Emphasis is on speaking and understanding, iBT TOEFL preparation is an option. Summer session - $1,300 (4 weeks). Fall/Spring Semester - $2,600 (8 weeks). 

World Language Program offers English to Speakers of Other Languages Program. Part-time and intensive classes with a focus on speaking and using the language. The Program has 8 Levels. From $385 to $500 per 1 Level. 

Free English (ESOL) classes (eight levels from beginner to advanced) and services for adult immigrants and refugees through a five-year grant from the Massachusetts Department of Education. Although classes are divided into four sessions, students can join any time there is an opening. The demand for these free English classes is far greater than what our grant allows us to offer and students may spend 2 - 18 months on a waiting list before they can enter into one of our classes.

Workplace Programs that bring specific language to the workplace was designed as part of ESOL to meet the needs of a particular workplace. Specialized vocabulary and workplace culture is integrated into the learner-centered methodology for which ILI has become recognized. It provides initial assessment, on-going evaluation and reports, check-ins with supervisors and other interested personnel and final evaluation and recommendations. Participants work on the four skill areas (listening, speaking, reading and writing) with an emphasis, at the lower levels, on speaking and understanding. Grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation are intergrated into the class. There is also a cultural component and on-going assessment and evaluation.

Private Tutorials. 1 to 9 hours – $65.00 per hour; 10 to 19 hours – $60.00 per hour; 20 hours and more – $55.00 per hour.
