Chabot College is a public two-year California educational institution accredited by the Commission for Community and Junior Colleges of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges and welcomes students from around the world. Chabot College is authorized by the Department of Homeland Security United States Customs and Immigration Service (DHS USCIS) as an approved SEVIS institution to accept non-immigrant students. The College enrolls more than 14,200 students. It offers over 60 Associate degree programs, 35 Certificate and transfer programs.

Chabot ESL classes are at intermediate and advanced levels only. International students can obtain English competency by enrolling in ESL courses at the ELS Language Center, conveniently located on the Chabot College campus. Students may begin ESL studies with the ELS Language Center and then transfer directly to Chabot College to begin academic studies.
