Coastline Community College has an international reputation as one of the nation's most innovative institutions.

Unlike other colleges, Coastline does not have a traditional campus. Instead, instruction is offered at approximately 50 sites throughout the Coast Community College District. These teaching sites include banks, senior centers, high schools, office buildings, shopping malls, and many other facilities.

Coastline is accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges, an institutional accrediting body recognized by the Commission on Recognition of Postsecondary Accreditation and the U.S. Department of Education.

Participants:

The Intensive program. ESL classes from 8 am to 2:30 pm four days per week (Monday through Thursday). Students receive twenty-four hours of classroom and individualized computer-assisted ESL instruction per week. Courses focus on grammar, reading, writing, listening comprehension, and speaking. Students earn twelve units of college credit per semester.

Individual ESL Classes. Students may choose individual day or evening ESL classes offering from four to eight hours of instruction per week.

Individualized Computer-Assisted Instruction. Students may choose to enroll in individualized computer laboratory programs focusing on their own individual English language strengths and weaknesses.
