Santa Barbara City College has a wide range of associate degree and certificate programs, as well as transfer programs that provide the first two years of study toward the baccalaureate degree. The College enrolls almost 19,000 students, including 900 international students from more than 50 different countries. In addition to providing excellent transfer preparation (the first two years of study toward the four-year baccalaureate degree) for universities, school offers over 100 associate degree and certificate programs in a wide range of career fields and a variety of general education opportunities. 

Santa Barbara City College is fully accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges, which is part of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. All courses equivalent to university and college work are accepted by all WASC member colleges and most other colleges and universities in the United States. The college is also approved by the California Department of Education for the training of veterans under the provisions of the G.I. Bill of Rights.

Participants:

English as a Second Language. This courses are designed to aid the resident and international student, for whom English is a second or foreign language, to master basiccommunication skills necessary to make reasonable progress in an American community college environment. Students do not need to take the TOEFL and can enroll in regular college courses after studying English. This program offers courses for beginning to advanced students.
