Academics

Pace University is dedicated to offering a wide array of educational programs for professions in demand, framed by the perspective and independent critical thinking that comes from an excellent liberal education. It offers a comprehensive education combining academics, professional experience, and the New York edge.

Athletics

Pace University is committed to the principles of institutional control in operating its athletics programs through the development and implementation of appropriate institutional policies and procedures, an effective education program, and a functioning monitoring program. Students can become members of baseball, basketball, volleyball, football, softball, lacrosse, soccer teams. They are welcome to go in for swimming, diving, dancing, cheerleading, horse riding.

Campus

Pace offers students such residency options throughout New York City and Brooklyn: Maria’s Tower (One Pace Plaza), The St. George (100 Henry Street, Brooklyn Heights), Fulton Hall (106 Fulton Street), John Street Residence (55 John Street). The meal plan begins on move-in day each fall and spring and concludes on the last day of scheduled finals. Student's meal plan membership is not refundable. Any unspent balance will carry over from the fall to spring semester, but will not carry over at the end of the spring semester. Both campuses are connected by a free shuttle bus that takes students from Pleasantville to New York City. There is also free transportation for the city campus students, faculty and staff. Cars may be parked in the parking located between Peck Slip and Beekman Streets.

Facilities

New York campus has state-of-the-art library housing millions of print and electronic resources for students, faculty, and staff. In New York City, students may use the Henry Birnbaum Library. Librarians are available during operation hours to assist students with research and class assignments. The New York City lab houses 105 computers, 5 printers, and 4 scanners. The labs also include more than 50 software packages, Internet access, wireless workstations for laptops, and direct assistance from I.T. staff.

Health & Safety

University Health Care offers a full range of primary care services to the Pace University community. Health centers are staffed by nurse practitioners and physicians. Their services include: health education, health assessment with complete physical examinations, women’s health care, diagnosis and treatment of illnesses, first aid for minor injuries, management of chronic health problems. Pace’s Safety & Security staff makes every effort to provide a secure environment for students. The Safety & Security staff also provides a free escort service to all students between any two points on campus between dusk and dawn. All Pace-owned buildings are staffed with 24-hour security employees, and require students to show a Pace ID whenever they enter a facility.

Students

Pace’s student population is 40% male, 60% female. Pace prides itself on being a diverse university, representing students from more than 90 countries, and 48 U.S. states. Pace is home to more than 70 student organizations. There are no greek housing services available on either campus, but fraternities and sororities stay connected through meetings and organizing campus events and philanthropy outreach programs. Many events held at Pace University are organized by students. Governing organizations oversee a budget, hold student elections, and help make decisions to improve the daily life of Pace students.

Location

The Office of Admissions maintains a list of students who wish to share an apartment, as well as an active list of off-campus housing available to students. Students can typically find a wide variety of living options in White Plains and in the surrounding communities.

Alumni & Post-Grad

Pace University graduate is the network of more than 128 000 alumni around the world. The Alumni Relations Office is here to help students connect with their fellow alumni through a wide range of events and services; from speaking engagements to social networking to travel opportunities. Alumni can stay in touch with classmates, find out what’s happening around the University, and take advantage of career resources.

Jobs & Internship

Team of experienced counselors will provide individual career advisement and personalized job search strategies. Graduates are offered specialized workshops and web-based knowledge resources that will enhance the skills needed for managing long-term career and achieving employment objectives.
