Health & Safety

Strayer University's Ohio Campuses do not provide health services for its students. All students are recommended to maintain health insurance coverage during their enrollment. It is also important that the University offers voluntary health insurance options for various needs: temporary health insurance for short-term needs, a plan for full-time domestic students, and two different plans for international students (and their dependents) engaged in full-time study outside their home country. Safety and welfare of students, faculty, and employees, are very important to the University. Campus Directors and Campus Deans are responsible for security and safety at the campus, along with security personnel. People who has knowledge of any criminal activity or other emergency on campus should report it immediately to the Campus Directors, Campus Deans or to security personnel, if available. In order to improve security monitoring the University may place security cameras on campus. All cameras are placed in visible locations in publicly accessible areas and will not record audio signals. Each year the University distributes an Annual Campus Security Report to all students, staff and faculty which contains additional information on campus security regulations, notification procedures, recommended personal safety practices, campus crime reporting guidelines, and campus crime statistics for the most recent three-year period.

Strayer University counts more than 62% of students aged 31 years or older, students aged 23-30 constitute 32% and traditional college age students (under 23) constitute 6%, 67% of students are female students and 33% are male students. Participation in extracurricular activities is an important part of students life and of college education. It helps students to get to know other students as well as faculty and staff. Besides students have an opportunity to develop and to demonstrate leadership skills and special talents. Students of the Ohio Campuses of Strayer University have an opportunity to participate in students organizations and clubs according to individual interests. Available student clubs should be checked with the Campus Dean.
