Campuses of Strayer University in Maryland are committed to providing students with on campus programs, distance learning programs as well as educational programs for government agencies and corporations in five campuses in Rockville, Suitland, Baltimore, Millersville and Owings Mills. Students may get their undergraduate and graduate degrees, diploma and certificates in a variety of fields of studies as accounting, business, criminal justice, education, health services administration, human resource management, information systems and public administration. It is also worth mentioning that campuses in Owing Mills and Baltimore do not offer Master of Public Administration and Master of Health Services programs.

The University's general population is composed of working adults attending college on a part-time basis at night and/or on the weekend. Because of this Strayer University does not provide on-campus housing. So students who need housing opportunities have to find apartments by their own.

Maryland Campuses are designed with space for appropriate academic and administrative support, library/learning resources centers, classrooms, counseling an instructional offices, computer lab facilities and student break areas. Teaching labs and open computer labs are specifically designed to support the educational mission and objectives of the educational programs offered by the institution. There are a variety of computer labs on campuses with a great number of them to be used by students during normal campus hours. Labs are equipped with state-of-the-art computer systems and high speed Internet connections. Students may also use Learning Resources Center/Library of the campus that supports the academic programs and information literacy program with both traditional and electronic instructional resources and services.

Health & Safety

Strayer University's Maryland Campuses do not provide health services for its students. Students are required to provide proof of proper immunization. All students are also recommended to maintain health insurance coverage during their enrollment. Supported by Students Benefit International students are offered voluntary health insurance options for various needs: temporary health insurance for short-term needs, a plan for full-time domestic students, and two different plans for international students (and their dependents) engaged in full-time study outside their home country. Welfare and safety of students, faculty, and employees are under the Campus Directors' and Campus Deans' responsibility. Students should report the crime as soon as possible to them when some dangerous situations occur. Each year an Annual Crime Report is distributed among students, staff and faculty of campuses. It contains the information about campus security regulations, notification procedures, recommended personal safety practices, campus crime reporting guidelines, and campus crime statistics. Strayer University may also place security cameras on campus in order to improve security monitoring. Cameras are placed in visible locations in publicly accessible areas and will not record audio signals.

The University programs attracts students of all races, religion and ages. Students aged 31 years or older account for approximately 62% of the student body, students aged 23-30 constitute 32% and traditional college age students (under 23) constitute 6%, 67% of all students are female and 33% are male. Strayer University also gives students an opportunity to participate in various students organizations and clubs according to their individual interests. This is an integral part of student life and an important aspect of a college education which enables students to get to know other students as well as faculty and staff.
