Academics

The Fort Knox program is coordinated with the Army Continuing Education System and must meet military standards additionally to university, site, and accreditation standards. WKU established an administrative office at Elizabethtown Community College. The Radcliff Regional Education and Development Center was established to serve additional students. A great number of public school teachers in the eight county Lincoln Trail region get graduate degrees through the Elizabeth-town/Radcliff/Fort Knox Center. Now students can complete bachelor and master degrees in several areas without leaving Hardin County.

Facilities

There are several computer labs to use within the Elizabeth-town/Radcliff/Fort Knox Center. These labs are located at the Elizabethtown Community College library, the Academic/Technical Building at ECTC, Room 132 of the Central Regional Postsecondary Educational Center, and at the Radcliff Center. Library services are also available to the students: WKU Extended Campus Library, ECTC Library, and Barr Library (Fort Knox). Some courses are taught through one of the WKU Interactive Video Service classrooms on post, in Radcliff, or in Elizabethtown. Others are taught in the traditional on-site professor modality. Internet and Independent Learning options are also available.

Health & Safety

Health services will help students now and beyond their college experience. Recently constructed state-of-the-art facility and board certified physicians will support students' well being. There are some things a person should consider before arriving on campus. Health Insurance is the first and main one. The Department of Environment, Health & Safety provides professional guidance and leadership to the University in achieving regulatory compliance, and promotes a culture of safety and environmental stewardship. The department will help other University constituents to be responsible caretakers of the resources that are used in our daily lives, and to manage those resources so that they are available for future generations.

Students

Students of the Elizabeth-town/Radcliff/Fort Knox campus can join the following organizations: Baptist Campus Ministry, The Catholic Campus Ministry, Criminal Justice Club, Gay Straight Alliance (GSA), Phoenix Club, Ping Pong Intramural Club, Poetry Readings, Psychology Club, SkillsUSA.

Alumni & Post-Grad

The Alumni Association enhances and strengthens the Western Spirit. Through an engaging mix of programs, services, activities, and events, alumni are encouraged to develop strong ties with each other and get reconnected with their alma mater. WKU has more than 40 Alumni Chapters representing geographic regions in 15 states plus the District of Columbia. These chapters fosters the Western Spirit and serve as both a social and educational organization.
