Students can enroll in courses leading to completion of general education and subjects areas requirements for the Associate in Arts degree requirements in the following areas: Administration of Justice, Child and Family Education, Deaf Studies, Education-Instructional Aide, English (transfer, non-transfer), Nutrition and Food, Liberal Arts.


AVC is a member of the Foothill Conference. Men's teams are represented in football, basketball, baseball cross-country and track and field. Women's teams are represented in basketball, cross-country, field and track, soccer, softball, volleyball, golf and tennis. Students are encouraged to attend all sporting events.


Palmdale Center is close to Highway 138 and the 14 Freeway and is easily accessible by automobile and public transportation. Palmdale Center is convenient for residence of Palmdale and the South Valley.


Expanded computer lab is in place to facilitate instruction and assessment needs at the center. Open computer lab and study areas, a newly constructed state-of-the-art science lab are available for students use.

Health & Safety

The Antelope Valley College Safety and Security Office main task is to protect and to serve students, employees and guests.The Care-A-Van provides health services to students, and also provides educational information to via health related events held throughout the year.


Registered students are eligible for membership in the clubs and organizations of their choice, special needs or interests. College has 19 active clubs, such as: Alliance, Alpha Iota, Honors Society, ASL@AVC - American Sign Language Club, AVC Gamers Club, AV Campus Christians, Cultural Arts for Change, Forensics Speech Team, Francophone, Military Club, Model United Nations, Multicultural Club, Music Business Club, Philosopher's Lounge, Psychology Student Organization, Rotaract, Student Nurses Association.

Antelope Valley College Alumni and Friends Association mission is to build relationships between and among former Antelope Valley College students and friends to enrich their lives and foster support for AVCís future.
