The Higher Learning Commission


The Fergus Falls campus of Minnesota State Community and Technical College offers high quality academic programs in the liberal arts and health sciences. Students can earn an Associate of Arts, Associate of Fine Arts, Associate of Science, Diploma or Certificate. The experienced faculty teach courses designed to equip all graduates with the intellectual skills they will need across their lifetimes. Students can study on campus and online.


The Fergus Falls campus has Spartan team sports. The college is a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) and offers intercollegiate women's volleyball, golf, basketball, and softball. The college also offers intercollegiate men's football, golf, basketball, and baseball. Based on the Fergus Falls campus, intercollegiate teams are open to participation by all qualifying M State students.


The Fergus Falls campus offers a variety of options for on-campus living. It provides its students with the opportunity to live in a safe, comfortable, convenient environment where the pursuit of academic success is supported and encouraged. Food service is also available to students.


The Fergus Falls campus has a library which contains thousands of books, hundreds of magazines and journals, videos, DVDs and CD-ROMs. The electronic periodical databases on the library page provide access to thousands of full text periodicals 24/7. The campus has the Learning Center and Center for Academic Success which provide a relaxed out-of-classroom learning atmosphere that is conducive for optimum understanding. Students work with faculty who help with effective strategies to improve content learning, deepen their understanding of concepts previously learned in the classroom. There are also computer labs for students' use.


Students come to the Fergus Falls campus for academics and to obtain skills needed for their career. Many of its students are commuters, many from another countries. The college allows all students to participate in different activities and join a variety of clubs and organizations which develop and sharpen their leadership skills. These are: Anime & Manga Club, Cultural Activities Can Touch US (CACTUS), Campus Crusade for Christ, Circle K, College Ambassadors, Music Organizations, Mu Alpha Theta, Phi Theta Kappa, Associate Degree Nursing Student Organization, Practical Nursing Organization, Students in Free Enterprise, Student Senate.

The Fergus Falls campus of Minnesota State Community and Technical College is committed to providing resources and services that will enhance opportunities for its students and alumni. It has Alumni Association that helps alumni stay connected through the meetings and events.

Jobs & Internship

Students at the Fergus Falls campus are provided with career assessment and planning assistance. The career services office conducts career exploration and provides information about career resources. The Career Center is open for walk-in use or counselor assisted appointments during schedule hours. It offers a wide range of resources and services to help students learn more about themselves, the world of work and job search techniques. They also provide confidential, individual appointments, crisis intervention, workshops, and referrals when necessary.
