Academics

Hannibal-LaGrange offers more than 30 majors on the baccalaureate level. Plus, there are several preprofessional programs, including preengineering, are offered on the associate level. An honors program is available for gifted and highly motivated students. Undergraduate students may choose traditional and ADVANCE degree completion programs. Graduate degree offered is Master of Science in Education. The online courses offered in fall, spring and summer semesters. They are available to traditional on-campus students, as well as students pursuing only online classwork.

Athletics

College's athletic program gives the access to sports program with membership in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletes (NAIA) Division I. The college has the Mabee Sports Complex, including a gymnasium with basketball courts and multi-purpose courts for volleyball, tennis, and indoor baseball/softball practice, which also has racquet ball courts, a weight room, and the Stewart Fitness Center, equipped with treadmills, elliptical machines, and exercise bicycles. There are a baseball field, softball field and two soccer fields. Men's, women's and coed intramural sport are available. Men's athletics are baseball, basketball, JV Basketball Red, JV Basketball Blue, cross country, golf, soccer, swimming, track & field, volleyball and wrestling; women's athletics - basketball, JV Basketball, cheer leading, cross country, golf, soccer, softball, swimming, track & field, and volleyball.

Campus

Students wishing to live on campus must fill out a housing application and pay a housing deposit in order to secure a place of residence. Students may choose to live in any of the five residence halls that college has to offer. All residence hall facilities are open to freshmen and upper-classmen between the ages of 17 and 26. Housing assignments are prioritized according to special needs, class status/age, date application was received, and when the housing deposit was received. Memorial Hall for females and Fletcher Hall for males are handicap accessible. The internet and TV services are available at all dorms. Every residence hall and apartment style housing facility is equipped with washers and dryers which are free of charge to use. All student residents are required to purchase the HLG meal plan. The only option HLG offers allows for the student to eat in the cafeteria from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. A resident student on the meal plan is credited $40 of “Tro Dough” onto their account and is therefore able to use their id card to purchase items from the “Snack Shack” or “Common Grounds”.

Facilities

College's library is a two-story structure where the first floor includes the public access catalogs, the circulation station, the reference room, the computer lab, the photocopiers, the listening area, the closed stacks, and the periodicals room. The study area, the education curriculum lab, and the open-access book stacks are located on the second floor. The library holds over 135,000 volumes, including print, audio-visuals, and computer formats. Its holdings also include approximately 300 periodical titles in print and over 60 CD-ROM titles in house with access to a variety of online resources and interlibrary loan services. Students have access to the Internet from the library. The college plans to construct an Allied Health Center. This building will provide facilities for the training of both RNS and LPNs, respiratory therapists and EMTs. The new Allied Health Center will provide opportunity for students to pursue an enriching career that helps change the world by improving the lives of those who live in it.

Health & Safety

HLG Campus Security Office is located on the first floor of the Burt Administration Building, and their responsibilities are vehicle and bike registration, enforcement of parking and traffic rules, patrolling grounds and buildings, Student Escort Service, responding to emergencies, investigating suspicious activities, providing students with entrance into dorms after hours, and ticket appeals. Medical care is available at the Hannibal Ambulatory Care Clinic (ACC)—east end of the Hannibal Clinic, which is located near the Hannibal Regional Hospital. All full-time students (residing on or off campus) are required to be medically insured and to have a photocopy of their current health insurance card on file. Health insurance will be provided for those students who do not have proof of being insured; the cost for this insurance will be charged to their accounts.

Students

Student Activities Council offers the diversity of clubs and the amount of events at HLG keep students flying from week to the next (Welcome Week, Karaoke Night, Rock Band and Guitar Hero Competition, Bonfire, or Homecoming). There are 7-10 intramural different sports; the Student Activities Committee organizes over 50 events. There are over 25 clubs and organizations students can join. They are Alpha Chi, Alpha Tau Beta, Art Club, Association of Women Students, Christian Ministry Vocations Fellowship (CMVF), Collegiate Music Educators National Conference (CMENC), and Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), just to name few.

Location

The college has a campus coffee shop called "Common Grounds," located in the basement of Kleckner Hall, where residents are able to grab a cup of coffee and relax from 7:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. Sunday through Thursday, and 7:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. Friday and Saturday. Also the student center, located on the first floor of the Burt Administration Building, is open Monday through Thursday until 12:00 a.m. and Saturday until 1:00 a.m. It offers a 50-inch flat screen TV, computers with internet access, a ping pong table, and the Snack Shack.

Alumni & Post-Grad

Hannibal-LaGrange College Alumni Services exists to provide an ongoing connection between the college, alumni, and friends of the college; providing resources, information, and a community of support; and to provide the highest quality service to our constituents on an ongoing basis through a variety of events and experiences. The alumni events are being held regularly.

Jobs & Internship

Academic and Career Services Office offers personal, academic, career, and engagement services, in one accessible location. The PACE program is to assist students with: adjusting to campus life, improving academic performance, locating on and off campus employment, and preparing for entrance into career or graduate school. The career services offered are as follows: online, individualized, career exploration and development program; on and off campus job listings, internships, and scholarships; and career planning, job search, study abroad, scholarship, and graduate school resources.
