Quinnipiac University offers undergraduate majors and graduate programs plus the JD program. Undergraduate and graduate classes are small. Faculty members frequently involve students in their research. Such experience builds skills, resumes and confidence. Faculty members are always innovating, with technology and with programs.


Men's Sports includes Baseball, Basketball, Cross Country, Ice Hockey, Lacrosse, Soccer, Tennis. Women's Sports features Basketball, Stunts & Tumbling, Cross Country, Field Hockey, Ice Hockey, Indoor Track, Lacrosse, Outdoor Track, Soccer, Softball, Tennis, Volleyball. Quinnipiac University provides students with such facilities: Quinnipiac Soccer Field, Hockey/Lacrosse Field, Baseball Field, Softball Field, Burt Kahn Court, TD Bank Sports Center, Indoor Tennis Facility, Outdoor Tennis Facility, Athletic Center, Fitness Center/Weight Room.


Students live in traditional residence halls, suites and apartments on the Mount Carmel Campus. Quinnipiac housing is available for three years for incoming freshman. Transfer students are currently eligible for two years of housing. Students and faculty members dine at Café Q, a recently renovated dining hall located just a short walk from the residence halls in the Carl Hansen Student Center on the Mount Carmel Campus. Dining options are also available at the Bobcat Den on the Mount Carmel Campus and at the cafe on the North Haven Campus. Students who want to explore the community off campus can get quick and easy access by way of free campus shuttles and other local transportation.


Arnold Bernhard Library, with 48 000 square feet and more than 600 wired Internet connections, plus wireless Internet access. The Library features 600 seats, including many with spectacular views of Sleeping Giant Mountain and the scenic Quinnipiac campus, 13 group rooms, a 30-seat instructional facility, more than 60 public computer terminals and nearly 600 power/data connections for laptop computers. Students can work in the labs and studios fully digital, high definition production studio in the School of Communications; high-tech simulated trading floor with 54 workstations in the Financial Technology Center; motion analysis laboratory for the athletic training/sports medicine program; computer graphics lab for the interactive digital design program; computer science lab for production of imbedded systems and robotics.

Health & Safety

Student Health Services is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, while students are in residence, excluding summer term. A physician is available 30 hours a week. To ensure the safety of students, faculty and staff, Quinnipiacís Department of Security and Safety offers emergency response, walking escort services and ongoing safety education for the campus community.


The campus is alive with activities and opportunities to get involved. With more than 70 clubs and organizations on campus, students can meet people with common interests and enhance their leadership skills. There are such opportunities: three fraternities (Delta Tau Delta, Sigma Phi Epsilon and Tau Kappa Epsilon), five sororities (Alpha Chi Omega, Alpha Delta Pi, Kappa Alpha Theta, Phi Sigma Sigma, Sigma Gamma Rho), Spiritual & Community Service Groups, Ethnic & Cultural Groups, Arts Groups, Media Groups, Special Interest & Hobby Clubs, Political & Social Issues Groups, Governing & Programming Boards, Academic Clubs & Honor Societies.


The Department of Residential Life offers local property owners the opportunity to post their rental properties online. The listing is available for undergraduate and graduate students. The Department of Residential Life will not list the property on the internal Web site without a copy of the permit on file. In order for the properties to be listed with the University, landlords must attach the current and appropriate permit documentation from the Town of Hamden Planning and Zoning Office.

Alumni & Post-Grad

Alumni Association presents a host of opportunities to its 25 000 members to take pride in their alma materís accomplishments, to enjoy the traditions that highlighted their Quinnipiac experience and to get involved with a dynamic University. Alumni can reconnect with classmates, friends, fraternity and sorority members and teammates through the associationís 13 alumni chapters across the nation.

Career services professionals are ready to meet career development and recruiting needs of students, graduates or employers.
