The athletic program at the Dayton Campus is recognized as an integral part of the total educational process. The athletics program is developed to contribute to the development of the student-athlete's health, fitness, leadership skill, and respect for others. Dayton Campus' intercollegiate athletic representatives are student-athletes who are instructed on and dedicated to the principles of fair play and amateur competition. Athletics administration and coaches are responsible for the entire and full compliance of the program with all pertinent rules and regulations. Students are involved in a wide variety of sports, such as: baseball, basketball, cross country, golf, soccer, softball, swimming and diving, tennis, volleyball.

Campus

The Hangar and all its dining services staff are committed to providing quality meals and service at reasonable costs to the students, faculty, staff and guests. Dining Services provides resident meal plans to all students living on campus. Meal plan is mandatory for students living in Hamilton Hall, The Woods, or the Honors Community, and optional for those living in other areas of campus housing (Forest Lane, Village, University and College Parks). The meal plan funds are placed into resident students' Dining Dollars accounts, housed on their Wright Cards, for on-campus meal and snack purchases. Students are encouraged to live on campus, in such way they will support their academic needs and reach the academic goals of Wright State University. National research and university's experience show that students who live on campus perform better academically and graduate earlier than their off-campus counterparts. The staff of Residence Services is committed to providing students with safe, clean, well-maintained, reasonably priced housing where both academic success and personal growth are promoted. All persons operating vehicles and bicycles on campus are responsible for complying with the Wright State University parking policy (Wright Way Policy 3601), and the vehicle laws of the State of Ohio, Greene County and the City of Fairborn. Students must file appeal within 30 days of issuance of a Violation Notice. Late filing exceptions must be approved by the Appeals Committee. The Parking Appeals Committee, consisting of one student government member, one faculty member, and one staff member, has been established to ensure fairness and equality of treatment. Bicycles must be parked in bicycle racks. They should not be parked in campus buildings (except student residence hall rooms) or locked to trees, light/sign posts, fences, and handrails.

Facilities

The University Libraries are the scholarly information center for the University. The University Libraries have the website, which provides online access to a wide variety of information resources including electronic books and journals, research databases, media, and selected Internet resources. Librarians are available during most of the hours that the Libraries are open to assist users in accessing and using resources. The Paul Laurence Dunbar Library also houses the STAC (Student Technology Assistance Center), where students can use new information technologies and multimedia to create original academic and creative works, such as presentations, web pages, digital videos, and podcasts. CaTS (Computing and Telecommunications Services) operates many on-campus computer labs. Besides, CaTS assists several departments by managing and maintaining their student computer labs, which offer students both Macintosh and Windows computers, and provide access to a wide variety of software programs.
