Scholarship opportunities:
    Scholarships for Excellence; awarded on a competitive basis to students showing potential for continued high performance and leadership; up to $17,000 per year; candidates may be invited to campus for interviews. President's Scholarships; based upon SAT or ACT score and high school GPA; up to $7,500 per year. Dean's Scholarships; based upon SAT or ACT score and high school GPA; up to $7,000 per year. Departmental Scholarships; Art, Dance, Music, Theater, Biology, and Chemistry scholarships to talented students; Language and Literature/ creative writing scholarship; range from $500 to $4,000 per year; Art, Dance, Music, and Theater scholarships require an audition or portfolio; some departments require an interview. Intercollegiate athletics scholarships available in all 12 sponsored sports, including baseball, basketball, cross-country, golf, soccer, and tennis for men and basketball, cross-country, soccer, softball, tennis, and volleyball for women; work-awards are available to qualified student-trainers. Valedictorian Scholarships; $500 per year to students ranked number one in their class at the end of their junior year or first semester of their senior year.
