Offers credit for AP Exams:Yes
Offers placement into higher-level courses for AP Exams: Yes
From the college:
Credit is granted for Calculus BC, Chemistry, Physics C, European History, English Literature, Computer Science, Biology. 4 is needed for all other than Physics which a 5 is needed and a departmental exam. We advise meeting with your faculty prior to finalizing the first year schedule--not every student should necessarily take the credit granted to them.

AP and Admission
From the college:
Cooper Union is a highly selective institution that receives applications from many gifted students. The requirements for admission are very different depending on the area of interest. Therefore, different subjects carry different weight in the admissions process. For School of Art, a student is mainly admitted based on talent and artwork. For School of Architecture, more emphasis is placed on math, so an AP class in math would be very attractive. For School of Engineering, we look at the whole package. We like to see students that can perform well in a challenging curriculum.
College-Level Examinations Program® (CLEP) Information
All CLEP exam scores range from 20 to 80. A score of 99 indicates that credit is awarded on an individually-determined basis
