Credit may be awarded to students who take Advanced Placement (AP) examinations offered by the College Board. Candidates receiving a grade of 4 or 5 in each appropriate academic and studio subjects may receive three credits towards the B.F.A. degree. A grade of 4 or 5 on the Art History AP exam will entitle the candidate to receive credit for a first-year Art History course at the Corcoran. A grade of 4 or 5 in AP English will be credited towards Writing I in the first year. Candidates are encouraged to have official results of AP exams forwarded to the Office of Admissions for credit evaluation
