Admission to the Maryland Institute College of Art is competitive. Evaluation of candidates is based upon both artistic and academic qualifications. Applicants are encouraged to achieve the highest grades in the most challenging level of coursework available at the secondary school. Enrollment in AP classes is viewed favorably.
