The University of Portland encourages students to take a demanding course curriculum throughout their high school years. One part of a challenging curriculum should be the inclusion of AP coursework in their studies. In the admissions process, we consider students who have taken AP coursework to have exhibited a seriousness of study that exceeds the typical high school curriculum requirements.
