Advanced Placement Program® (AP) Information


AP Credit and Placement Policy

  • Offers credit for AP Exams:Yes
  • Offers placement into higher-level courses for AP Exams: Yes

  • From the college:
  • Students who achieved scores of 5, 4, or 3 in an Advanced Placement Program (AP) examination in high school may be awarded up to 8 hours of university credit in many of the areas tested. Duplicate credit is not awarded. Students must submit a request for evaluation to the Admissions Office to have credit recorded in their records. Beginning Fall Semester 2007, only 6 semester hours of credit will be awarded for year courses and 3 semester hours of credit for half-year courses with a score of 5, 4, or 3. AP scores and General Education waivers are evaluated according to current policy at the time the request is made for an evaluation.
