SAT or ACT writing component will be used as follows:
  • No college policy as of now
  • SAT Reasoning/ACT score report due by: 01-SEP
  • SAT Subject score report due by: 01-SEP
Other test policies:
    ACT required of Wisconsin applicants. Test scores required for admission if student ranks in lower half of class or is unranked. All new freshmen under age 25 must provide test scores prior to registration.

Advanced Placement Program® (AP) Information


AP Credit and Placement Policy

  • Offers credit for AP Exams:Yes
  • Offers placement into higher-level courses for AP Exams: Yes

  • From the college:
  • A student with score of 3 or higher on Advanced Placement Exams will receive credit for a specific course offered at UW-Whitewater if the appropriate department has approved the examination. General elective credit will be granted for AP courses even if they do not have direct relationship to specific courses offered at UW-Whitewater provided a score of 3 or higher is earned.
