Program:

Corporate Internships. For 20 years, Wal-Mart’s internship program has given interns the opportunity to see the results of their work through hands-on, real-world projects. These projects include: redesigning the corporate Web site, predicting consumer behavior to optimize seasonal product mix, working with project development teams to develop and implement new products and integrating newly installed programs for the company. Wal-Mart challenges interns to improve project with their knowledge, background and experience.

MBA Internships. The MBA internship program is specifically designed for students who have completed the first year of their MBA education. Those selected for the 12-week internship are paid and given full responsibility for a substantial project. At the end of the summer, interns present their projects to Lee Scott and his team.

MBA & Graduate Students. There are two opportunities for MBA students through our program. The MBA Leadership Internship is offered to first year MBA students, the MBA Leadership Rotation Program is offered to second year MBA students.

MBA Leadership Internship Program. The MBA Leadership Internship is offered to full-time students during the summer of the first and second years of the MBA program. As an MBA Leadership intern, students will have the opportunity to contribute to a Walmart division in a leadership role through the completion of a high level project related to the division's current needs. In addition, they will add to their practical work experience in the daily operations of the world's largest company as well as the opportunity to be sponsored by a key leader within the organization. Finally, the internship will close with the potential to present the project results to numerous groups within Walmart including Mike Duke, CEO of Walmart Stores, Inc. and/or Walmart International Country Presidents. MBA Leadership Internship opportunities exist in a variety of areas including: Finance; Marketing; Merchandising; Operations.

The MBA Leadership Rotation Program. The MBA Leadership Rotation Program is a full-time opportunity for second-year MBA students upon graduation. It offers a series of developmental rotations throughout Walmart Stores, Inc. It is designed to provide exemplary professional development enabling participants to contribute at an accelerated business level and preparing you to become a future senior leader within Walmart in a variety of business functional areas.
